Basically there are many updates on this. I am in conversation with Police Commissioner Office Pune City and Smt. Tejaswi Satpute Deputy Commissioner of Police. She has given a positive reply on phone and she has asked me to contact her again after Ganpati Utsav. So will follow with her on this. During these conversation I also came to know how I was charged INR 1200 just for wrong side offence. So Mrs. Satpute's office told me a website where I could find actual offence section imposed for a challan. So there I found out that just because I had few words with the police man asking basic information. He felt offended and just because of that with wrong side offence (INR 200) they have also imposed on me section 184 of Motor Act (Dangerous Driving INR 1000). This is a very ambiguous section to impose on anyone. So do not ever ask question to police in future.
Today I went to discuss this issue with this man Kishore Mhaswade. Just to seek a clarification. That why I Dangerous Driving section was also imposed on me though it was just a 40 meter max wrong side slow driving. His explanation was that such wrong side driving is always dangerous for life so we always impose both the sections in case of wrong side violation. How logical is that?
Dangerous driving should means like doing stunts on road or over speeding cases etc. But their definition is really different.
And also if they find their definition correct then everyone who is driving without helmet in Pune should have Dangerous Driving Challan but you know the reality. If I would have given them few bucks off-record no section would have been imposed on me. But I will never pay them the way they want us to pay.
I just want that they should be little more professional and start showing rate cards to people so that no one is over fined just to make them corruption victims. Offence Description should be included on Challan receipt itself. Not everyone is so aware that they will use app to see what offence they have committed. They should give us a perfect receipt that's it having all required information. Thank you for your support till now. I need more so that we can make this change happen.
Kishore sir nothing personal towards you. But we should think more logical. Driving on road has never been so safe in India but how many of us is having this dangerous driving challan. This section as written is little ambiguous in nature but imposing this on anyone is just not done. I respect your job like you devote 24 hrs to public but this does not mean that you will define the things in your ways. Over fining will definitely increase corruption.
