According to retired Chief of Army in 2008, General David Morrison, 'changing official army records could open the floodgates to others who might want to correct the official records'.
SO BLOODY WHAT, I SAY?
If 'official' army records are inaccurate- or have been falsified by generals and other senior officers with a vested interest in maintaining corrupt accounts- they SHOULD be changed.
Falsified military history is an affront to the intelligence of all Australians- and leaving men who served in war in some administrative ;'no-mans-land' is a national disgrace.
But what does the government do?
Well, it rewards the Director of an institution that deals in falsified military history and refuses to amend them by keeping records away from prying eyes with an Order of Australia.
Yes- Dr Brendan nelson OA, I'm referring to you......
