Now here is a bit more to the tale of our once beautiful neighborhood.

Our community, the people of Silver Sands and its environs contributed hard earned cash to have the pasture and lands cleaned up. It cost roughly 3k back in 2017. We got the lands cleaned up and something very interesting happened. Minutes after the lots were cleaned, the neighborhood children came out and started to play. I kid you not..MINUTES AFTER. The children clearly realized they now have a safe space to play and they took advantage of it.

What is incredibly sad is that the perpetrators of this problem, chose not to contribute any funds to have the area cleaned up. Clearly an indication of what they stand for and how much they truly care about the children and the larger community. Worse yet, weeks after the perpetrators once again started to accumulate the abandoned vehicles and occupy the lands we prepared for the children. Now it is in the current deplorable state.

Furthermore and worst of all. All of this was communicated to the "authorities". The BLP constituency office, the Randall Philips Polyclinic and the Royal Barbados Police Force. No permanent solutions.

These inactions often lead me to believe and confirm that Bajans have a deep sense of self hatred and self loathing. What people that have a positive mirror image behave like this?

I will share the VIDEOS and timelines to prove everything on my facebook and whatsapp stories.

Thank you,

Shayne
