Like many residences and businesses in Downingtown the Wawa on Wallace Ave. suffered major flooding and water damage following the remnants of Hurricane Ida. According to Wawa employee Lorraine Principe, who worked at the store, the damage was too much and Wawa plans to not reopen this location…

The Mayor of Downingtown, Phil Dague, and many others have suggested a petition to persuade Wawa to reconsider their decision. So here is our chance to make our voices heard!

The popular Wallace Ave Wawa located at the intersection of Pennsylvania and Wallace Avenues, right next to Kerr park, is a prime location! The busy shopping center and nearby park bring enormous business to this Wawa and patrons who will miss this location greatly.

The firefighters and emergency medical personnel from Minquas Fire Co. No. 2 also frequent this location multiple times a day. 

By closing this location Wawa is forcing us to go to Turkey Hill or Royal Farms as the next closest convenience stores…
