Today Principal Marshall sent an update to Freeman students and families in expressing that it’s time to “listen to the community — as many voices as we possibly can — and choose the best course for our students” in regards to the rebel mascot. All comments are to go to freemanmascot.info and any questions to freemanmascot@henrico.k12.va.us. Now is the moment we have waited for. Please use this opportunity to make your voice heard. This is finally our chance to remove this racist symbol of the past. Please share with the school exactly why the mascot needs to go.
