Neuigkeit zur PetitionStop symptomatic COVID-19 testing at Ontario Pharmacies

November 27/2021 update

Some minor updates.

To avoid confusion, this is opposition to testing conducted inside pharmacies (indoor setting) and excludes testing if done outdoors. In addition, there was a discussion/perspective from pharmacists that are willing to do tests, whom are respected individuals. From their perspective, they agreed that testing indoors is not safe and that outdoors is more safer, and that respect for professional autonomy is of upmost importance. As well, they had discussions with staff to ensure they were comfortable doing symptomatic testing so I included a short statement about need to respect professional autonomy and their decision to conduct testing.

In the comments section, please do not use it as a platform to spread misinformation (e.g. questioning validity of PCR tests). Posting such comments is unhelpful. In response to one commentor claiming "who's going to verify a test done at home", and will not sign a petition, tests kits are meant to be easy to use and pharmacies normally send specimens to the lab. The lab does the analysis, not the pharmacies. Other jurisdictions have done this with no issues.
