Thank you to all who signed and shared this petition against education cuts! There are great petitions out there already but we wanted one specific to those who live/work in the Peel Region to make it more meaningful to our MPPs.

A small group of parents and educators met with the Mississauga-Erin Mills MPP Sheref Sabawy last Friday, April 5th. Unfortunately, he had a family emergency and we were only able to speak with his executive assistant, Andrew Fahmy. We still stated our concerns and cited this petition (they receive an email notification if you signed online) and shared our paper version of the petition that we circulated at work and school. Andrew said he will send his notes on our meeting to the Min. of Ed. We are going to reschedule our meeting with MPP Sabawy again. If you're interested, please contact canopyfamilies@gmail.com. 

We also received notice that there will be a rally in front of MPP Sabawy's office this Friday, April 12th at 3:30pm, details on the poster. All are encouraged to join and especially those who live in the Mississauga-Erin Mills riding! Bring your signs and your kids!
