This is the third in a series of short videos that tells the story of what the Ford Government did after the PCs promised before the June 2018 election to end the Tarion monopoly.
In this video, listen to Premier Ford promising "transparency, accountability and integrity" - before the June 2018 election. But now the Ford Gov't is hiding documents and will not reveal (even via Freedom of Information) one word concerning the "feasibility assessment" that they said was conducted.
CPBH volunteers have been through a grueling process - with multiple Freedom of Information requests - to finally get to the bottom of this. But now we know: The PCs broke their election promise. Further, they aren't transparent, accountable or working with integrity. Sadly, we can't trust the Ford Government.
While it is clear that the Ford Government has made its decision, CPBH will continue to work to get rid of the mandatory Tarion monopoly and introduce a multi-provider warranty model - like Justice Cunningham recommended. There will be an Ontario election in less than one year.
What you can do:
1. Write to your MPP today, and tell them that the Tarion monopoly must end.
2. Tell all candidates running in the 2022 provincial election that the Tarion monopoly must end.
Let's keep the pressure on!
