While Justice Cunningham recommended ending Tarion's monopoly, and moving to a competitive model for new home warranty in Ontario, he did not recommend what should be done with all of the wealth that Tarion has amassed over the decades. This is an issue that the Ontario Government will need to address if/when it ends Tarion's monopoly.

CPBH's recommendation:  As the first priority, allow people whose claims to Tarion were denied to resubmit their claims to an independent body for reconsideration.
