

Before the June election, we listened closely to what politicians had to say. We counted on Premier Ford to "walk the talk", including ending Tarion's monopoly. Although this has been studied for decades, Premier Ford seems afraid to end Tarion's monopoly that is controlled by builders.
In a Dec. 14, 2018 letter to CPBH, his latest minister responsible for Tarion, Minister Walker, said: "We're looking at this policy area....and hope to have more to say on this soon...."
Enough studies, Premier Ford. It's time for the Ford Government to end Tarion's monopoly, as Justice Cunningham recommended, to strengthen consumer protection on the largest purchase most make - a home.
