It is rich, because of the moral extortion of It being a compulsory-pay monopoly, like a self-appointed government-let, taking its own sales tax. It is beholden to no one but private vested interests and a paid-off former critic who define Its board. It is not there to help homebuyers, but to victimize them, while they can't legally avoid Its quasi-or-non-judicial court system. Nobody can audit It, or request FOI transparency from It, because It is above such laws. It flaunts Its confidence with an annual report card written by Itself. If you fight It, good luck even finding a lawyer who is dumb enough to take your case, and prepare to spend person years learning how nasty, complex and expensive such a fight can be. It twists the market, listing evil builders who make junk, alongside the good ones, while It ruins the innocents It pretends to protect, leaving them broken and feeling like criminals. And why has all this been so for 50-years? Because politicians feared It, while It donated to political parties and while the voters were scared to complain publicly for fear of devaluing their homes. So, all hail Its latest name, as Its old name was likely becoming tarnished by bankruptcies and scandals. Its real name must not be mentioned, for It WILL litigate. As you might imagine, It would likely litigate against the Auditor General himself, should he ever get his often-expressed wish to investigate It."
