The COVID-19 Pandemic has surged in Arizona since reopening.  

• There are now approximately 1,000 new cases per day. 
• Our hospitals are overloaded and in crisis mode.   
• Our economic recovery is being threatened.
• It is now known that the virus can be spread by asymptomatic individuals.

There is a simple and effective solution that should be done immediately - requiring all citizens and employees to wear face masks, when in near proximity to other people. 

A very recent article, published June 1, 2020, by the British medical journal The Lancet, evaluated 172 studies from around the world, for the effectiveness of precautions against the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

The findings were dramatic. The wearing of face masks in public, when in the vicinity of other people, was remarkably effective, resulting in an estimated 50-75% slowing of the spread of the virus.

You and Arizona can lead the way with this easy, affordable and highly effective solution. This will save lives and save our economic recovery. 

It can be summarized - "I wear my mask to protect you. You wear your mask to protect me."  

And if people are safe, they will feel more confident going to restaurants, shopping and visiting offices. Our economic recovery can be protected. Conversely, if cases continue to increase we will experience more deaths, loss of confidence, decreased business activity and the spectre of a new shutdown.

Governor Ducey. Please Protect our Citizens and Protect our Economy. Order the immediate wearing of face masks in public, while in near proximity to other people. This includes the general public, workers and employees.
