A demolition permit has been issued by the City of Arvada for the historic structures on Grandview.  This happened the latter part of November and demolition could be as soon as December 7th.  We are working to verify the facts and will pass along any information we have as it becomes available.  

This is a great loss to the City of Arvada and Olde Town as a whole.  It can be seen as a ripping apart of the delicate historic fabric of the Nationally Registered Historic District and also sets a precedent that threatens the future of Olde Town Arvada. 

Many have worked for fairness for the people and the historic district but unfortunately, it seems the City of Arvada has their own idea of what fairness is.  

With two pending Rule 106s pending hearing and judgment, we are surprised that the City is allowing this to happen.  Please pray for a miracle that the 106 will be heard and that the scales of justice tip in our favor.
