Nearly seven million people living in a wide swath of Northern California, including Silicon Valley, are being ordered to shelter in place starting at midnight tonight. A lot of us are no longer allowed in work and won't be able to pay for rent this month.

We are creating this petition, not to demand that our rent be waived, but to let everyone know that this month, many, if not most of us won't be able to make rent. 

In Santa Clara county, 6 counties have been placed on a Shelter In Policy, thus displacing millions out of a job and INCOME for the next 3 weeks. Some are fortunate to have jobs to work from home, or they work in the few necessary industries such as hospitals and firefighters but this is just some.

If you won't be able to make rent this month, or have to go out of your to get 3rd party money to pay for rent this month, then sign this petition. 

Maybe if enough people show their financials struggles online, the government, landlords, and real estate owners may understand the situation and help us out a bit. And if not all of them, maybe some of them!
