At 1:06 pm on July 7, 2020 Representative Ilhan Omar called for the dismantling of the American justice, political and economic systems by claiming the systems were forms of oppression. She said they needed taken apart by making this statement, "As long as our economic and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequality. We cannot stop at [the] criminal justice system. We must begin the work of dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it."

This not only breaks her oath of office which states: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

But also, in the House of Ethics Manual under Code of Ethics for Government Service, she fails to "Uphold the Constitution, laws, and legal regulations of the United States and of all governments therein and never be a party to their evasion."
