Hi, I just wanted to update everyone on the Kingfisher AGM that took place last Wednesday the 15th of June. Siobhain McDonaigh, MP attended Kingfishers AGM last Wednesday to ask the board to reverse the cuts in pay and rewards for B&Q staff introduced earlier this year. She also shared with the board testimony from some B&Q employees. I myself did not attend so here are some of the comments from those I know attended. "The AGM went well yesterday. Siobhain asked her questions and then shared testimony of how workers would be worse off, and incredibly someone else who had been affected then stood up and shared a similar story". "As he spoke and the members of the board were faced with a real person talking about the issue, the board members went pale and looked down". "The strength of having an MP in the room was definitely made stronger by the presence of a former employee". I have been informed that one of the board members verbally agreed to meeting with the CEO of B&Q, Michael Loeve to discuss the issue. Let's hope we get a response on this in the coming weeks. From the feedback I have received the AGM went well and if nothing else a seed has been planted in the minds of the Kingfisher hierarchy, one which I hope gets a reaction from B&Q. Thank you all for your support. Regards, Kevin
