Hi,
It has been while since my last update. I really want to share with you all a very important event that will be taking place tomorrow, Wednesday the 15th of June. Kingfisher, the company that owns B&Q, will be hosting its AGM in London. Siobhain McDonagh MP for Mitcham and Morden will be attending the AGM to ask the board of Kingfisher to reverse the cuts in pay and rewards made to B&Q staff earlier this year. She will be supported by Citizens UK, a community organising charity that has been leading the National Living wage campaign for 15 years and has had great success. She will also be supported by ShareAction, a charity which promotes social and environmental issues through the investment system, and helps individuals attend AGMs and raise issues directly with the board.
The support you have given me throughout this petition has been amazing. It has made a real difference to the lives of the staff that work at B&Q. I feel that this is our opportunity to get more for the hard working people in B&Q. With your support I want to raise awareness of the event on Wednesday. Please let B&Q and Kingfisher know that they need to PAY B&Q STAFF A REAL LIVING WAGE
