As this tumultuous year comes to a close, we desperately need to find some common ground before Thanksgiving. Let's vote up something we can all agree about: stop wasting our time with sanctimonious media events.

As our families meet again for Thanksgiving, let's subvert divisiveness, cut the PC nonsense, and cook our turkeys. The president has more important things to do than pardon a plump, tender, sumptuous bird raised to die happy and be delicious. Cut the bs. If the tradition started with Lincoln, famous for pondering the selfishness of mankind and saving a drowning pig, who better to end this dumb tradition than Obama?
