In just 13 days, Virginia Beach City Council will vote on whether to allow Wycliffe Church to remove its Conditional Use Permit and return the property to Residential Housing. A booklet was presented to every member of Council in September with every reason to vote NAY on this application. We wanted to make this same material available to every member of the public. At the November 21st hearing, Council will hear both factual and emotional statements made by members of the public who don't want to see this property returned to it's underlying zoning. They will also hear an attorney tell them that they can't deny the application. However, the City Code provides that Council must vote to approve, deny, or modify the application.
