There is a beautiful, peaceful stretch of flat grassy PUBLIC LAND along Broger's Creek which is a magical place for a swim, a picnic or a snooze under a tree. This wonderful space is for the public to enjoy, and is easily accessible from Battys Road. 

Shoalhaven Council has received an application from an adjacent landowner to purchase this public space, to incorporate it into their private landholding. If this sale goes through, the public will be left with only a tiny bit of riverbank which is literally not navigable, and there would certainly be no space to have a picnic.

There are few places in the Kangaroo Valley where the riverfront is accessible for the public to enjoy. If this land is sold by Council, our community will have lost a precious asset which can never be recovered.

Please let Shoalhaven Council know if you oppose the sale of this public riverfront land to private interests.
