Much of Bexley — including Barnehurst, Erith, Crayford and Slade Green — is still being left out of London’s night bus network. Right now, only one night route serves the area: the N89, which runs between Erith and Trafalgar Square. That’s simply not enough.

If you finish work late or want to get home safely after a night out, your options are extremely limited — especially if you don’t live near that single route. This affects shift workers, young people, and those without cars, making it harder to access jobs, social opportunities, and safe travel at night.

We’re asking Transport for London and the Mayor of London to invest in better night services for our community. One practical step would be to make the 428 route 24 hours and extend it from Erith to Barnehurst via Northumberland Heath — connecting areas that currently have no night bus coverage at all.

A recent poll across local Facebook groups showed that over 75% of respondents want more night buses. The demand is clear — now we need action.
