We say NO to further restrictions under the Dog Control Orders

Warwick District Council are proposing more restrictions to the Dog Control Orders in Warwick District.

One of these is to ban dogs from the old Newbold Comyn golf course, a huge space used and loved by many people. Dog walkers are the largest group of users here and a ban would discriminate against a big section of the community. It's a public space that was left to Leamington Town Council for ALL users but Warwick District Council want to turn it into a commercial venture, in which dogs and their owners play no part. 

A ban will also have a negative impact on the many small local dog walking businesses who operate in the area.

Under the proposals, WDC want to impose more restrictions at Abbey Fields in Kenilworth, St. Mary's Land (the racecourse) in Warwick and other fields on Newbold Comyn, restricting dogs from certain areas and at certain times of the year.

We're signing this petition to say NO to any further restrictions in our area and to tell the Council that we will not have the freedom to walk our dogs curtailed.
