Please allow full debate of assisted dying

The Issue

The British Medical Association (BMA) claims it wants to have an “informed debate” about assisted dying but has accepted a motion that would ban a full debate about their position at their annual meeting.

The BMA is due to debate end of life care and assisted dying imminently. It is vital they do not ignore the unnecessary suffering that so many dying people face.

Please sign our petition calling on them to:

  • Have a full and informed debate about assisted dying at their annual meeting
  • Survey their members on assisted dying, something 58% of the public think would better inform debate
  • Move to a position of neutrality to best reflect the range of views of their members
