Ethnic Uyghur Muslims has been under extreme repression for decades now in Xinjiang province, known as East Turkestan. 

Chinese authorities have banned fasting during Ramadan, have forced the shaving of beards, have denied Uyghurs access to reading Quran and praying in congregation and have forced Uyghurs to drink alcohol. 

All of this pales in comparison to the recent revelations that over 1 million Uyghurs have been sent to re-ducation concentration camps by the Chinese government who claim "Islam is a cancer on society"

We call on Ashraf Ghani, the president of Afghanistan to strongly condemn China's actions and to sever ties if the camps and repression continue

We are asking all Afghans and supporters of Uyghurs to please sign and share this petition to force Ashraf Ghani to take a position
