Response from new DNV Mayor, Mike Little

Hello All,  I received a response from new DNV Mayor, Mike Little today. Here is what he had to say:

"Hi Cory M. Kinney, when your petition looks like it has peaked, feel free to arrange a delegation to come to council. You will have five minutes to introduce the topic and submit your petition, plus the council can ask questions of you and staff in a public meeting. Please do what you can to limit the petition to District Residents only."  

That means we will need a delegation of effected DNV neighbours and residents to attend during our 'five minutes before council'. The bigger the group the better as there will most likely be push back from vocal proponents who feel a ban should not be instituted.   I informed Mayor Little that we will also come with scientific and anecdotal evidence to support our position.  If you have a short story of how residential fireworks have effected you, your family or your pets I would like to compile them at via email at corykinney@shaw.ca.  Thank you.
