I agree with Councilman Medina that men and women who are employed by the City of San Antonio, with equal education and experience, should be compensated equally by the City. 

Nationally, women receive about $0.76 for every $1.00 men make for doing the same job.  If there is such a similarity between education and experience levels, there should be the same similarity in the salary that is received.

I support Councilman Medina's efforts to retain a third party to conduct an equal pay study, and restart the Equal Pay for SA initiative.

Our mothers, sisters, wives and daughters deserve no less.
