Golf is an activity that can be easily played while following the CDC distancing guidelines. Governor DeSantis' Executive order 20-91 lists walking and biking as examples of permissible activities when social distancing guidelines are followed.  Yet, on March 25, 2020 the Palm Beach County Administrator ordered that all public and private golf courses in Palm Beach County be closed indefinitely.  

There are seven Palm Beach County Commissioners:

Dave Kerner, Mayor (District 3)

Robert S. Weinroth, Vice Mayor  (District 4)

Hal R. Valeche,  (District 1)

Gregg K. Weiss,  (District 2)

Mary Lou Berger,  (District 5)

Melissa McKinlay​,  (District 6)

Mack Bernard​  (District 7)

These Commissioners have the power to reverse this order and allow us to play golf under CDC guidelines.

By signing this petition, you confirm you are a Palm Beach County Resident.  You suggest to the above Commissioners that golf is just as much an essential recreational activity as are the Governor’s examples of walking or biking. Therefore, in signing this Petition you ask that the Palm Beach County Commissioners reverse the Administrator’s order and re-open our golf courses.
