Disney Give Molly McGee Another Chance

Disney Give Molly McGee Another Chance
The Issue
“On January 13th, 2024, on this day.., viewers were told that after that night’s new episodes, we were going to say goodbye to arguably the best episodic animated series that Disney Channel aired at its time, that show was The Ghost and Molly McGee
As honestly it was a show that was even better and had a bigger fan base than even another show that is currently the top rated toon right now(Big City Greens), but sadly Molly and Scratch were not long for this world as after “The End”, that was it.., it ended because it was very expensive to continue production, and Disney didn’t want to cover the costs for a potential third season even though Bill and Bob wrote a few scripts for potential S3 episodes that won’t get to see the light of day.
Honestly, I think losing Molly McGee hurts way more than Amphibia concluded but at least the creator(Matt Braly) of that show wanted to conclude the story after S3 even though the S2 finale was screwed over and pushed back by a few weeks, and especially the series that got screwed over the most with no Annies or Emmys won and consequently ignored by everyone(outside of social media and its fandom), The Owl House, which at least we knew 23 months in advance that it was ending after a shortened third season and had plenty of time before the finale to say bye, but with Molly McGee, we were NOT prepared to say our goodbyes, it just…, proof, it’s over, it didn’t have enough viewership.
I think it’s time for Disney to reconsider and revive Molly McGee for a potential third and final season and just have “Molly vs the Ghost World” as the season two finale and “The End” be the season three/series finale(even though it already aired in January, but if a S3 could be made, then the series finale would now be a part of season 3), as the show didn’t get enough episodes that primarily focused on the series most under appreciated character, Andrea Davenport voiced by a very underrated actress, Jules Medcraft, who did a great job as Andrea and deserves to have more voice acting gigs as she’s just a cutie of an actress.
I think for what S3 could have been, is for Andrea to finally see Scratch the Ghost, as a lot of people were hoping that a S3 that could have been, for that season to focus on Andrea, especially after the Davenports department store went out of business.
As well as an episode about an anxiety attack, it would be perfect where it would be produced as Inside Out 2 had a great and emotional sequence of an anxiety attack at the last 20 minutes, as in the coming years, that film would be fresh in everyone's minds, and reviving TGAMM to have that kind of episode would be a great idea
Instead of premiering on cable, the third season would premiere one episode a week on Disney Plus or Netflix(which Disney would still own the show, they would now license the series) (followed later on cable), as the experiment of adding that many episodes at once pretty much killed the show off, and it deserves to be marketed more.
I know Disney has more than moved on with this series, and the creators pretty much are focusing on their future for the moment, but with this small petition that I’ll be sharing to the world…, I think it’s time to speak up about how Disney prematurely ended Molly McGee too soon, just for the sake of new shows like Primos and Zombies The Re-Animated Series that are both being made with little to no creative reason and are just soulless cash grabs that only anyone 6-12 would like(with the former receiving backlash and numerous delays before release and the latter being an unnecessary continuation of a franchise that needs to end), and a fifth season of Big City Greens to be greenlit, despite not having a single piece of marketable toys and Funko Pops or Tilly & Cricket not being seen at the Disney Parks as costumed characters yet, I think Disney is just over exaggerated with the Greens being their number one toon, when it’s just a decent at best series for everyone over 12, and serviceable for the 6-11 year old crowd, I’m not saying that the Greens are terrible, it’s a fine and passable series that has amazing voice acting and fun comedy(and they didn’t need a movie, but it was an okay feature), but it’s just Molly McGee is a million times better and more relatable to 75% of people, and wouldn't mind if they'd sacrifice the Greens' fifth season for a third season of TGAMM, and unfortunately Disney just didn’t see any potential in Molly and Scratch.
But this will have to change with this petition for Disney and Mercury Filmworks to give Molly a second go around with a full on season three, mainly focusing on Andrea and the final episode of S2 being temporarily rotated out and moved to S3, and the next to last episode to air, “Molly vs the Ghost World” now being the S2 finale
Let’s Get Molly Back to Production in Less Than a Year with or without Bill and Bob”
