Disney: Acquire the Jim Henson Company and Sesame Workshop

The Issue

It would make more sense for the Walt Disney Company(Disney for short) to own all Muppet-related properties(as opposed to just the 'The Muppets' Muppet property) and the 2 companies that brought them to the world to begin with. Just imagine the huge financial backbone that Disney would be able to provide for Sesame Workshop(which is a non-profit organization) to fund their endeavours, so that they are no longer reliant on product sales! Plus, acquiring both of these companies would give Disney access to a bunch of additional properties, including, but not limited to, 'The Dark Crystal', 'Labyrinth', 'The Storyteller', 'Farscape', 'Sid The Science Kid', 'Pajanimals', 'The Electric Company', 'Ghostwriter', 'Dragon Tails', and 'Dinosaur Train'. Disney could revive the cancelled TV series 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance' and 'Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge' as Disney Plus originals! Acquiring the Jim Henson Company and Sesame Workshop, making the Muppets Studio(the name of which should be changed to "The Muppet Studio") and Sesame Workshop divisions of the Jim Henson Company, changing the name of Puppet Heap Workshop to "The Jim Henson New Jersey Creature Shop", and rehiring Steve Whitmire as the puppeteer & voice actor for Kermit The Frog would be great things for Disney to do! All future Muppet-related Sesame Workshop projects should be co-productions with the Muppet Studio.

For all future Muppet-related projects, including those that are co-productions with Sesame Workshop, the opening production logo sequence that's used for the Muppet Studio should be the Jim Henson Pictures opening production logo sequence, but, obviously, with the words "Jim Henson Pictures" replaced with the words "The Muppet Studio", and with the words "Part of the Jim Henson Company" being shown underneath them, and the closing production logo sequence that's used for the Muppet Studio for all future Muppet-related projects, including those that are co-productions with Sesame Workshop, should be the Jim Henson Productions opening production logo sequence that was used for the films 'The Muppet Christmas Carol' and 'Muppet Treasure Island', but, obviously, with the words "Jim Henson Productions" replaced with the words "The Muppet Studio", and with the words "Part of the Jim Henson Company" being shown underneath them.

For all future Sesame Workshop projects, the opening production logo sequence that's used for Sesame Workshop should be the current Sesame Workshop closing production logo sequence, with the words "Part of the Jim Henson Company" being shown underneath the words "Sesame Workshop", and the closing production logo sequence that's used for Sesame Workshop for all future Sesame Workshop projects should be the original Sesame Workshop closing production logo sequence from the year 2000, with the words "Part of the Jim Henson Company" being shown underneath the words "Sesame Workshop".

For these and all other future the Jim Henson Company projects, the opening production logo sequence that's used for the Jim Henson Company should be the Jim Henson Productions closing production logo sequence that was used for TV series(including 'Bear In The Big Blue House'), but, obviously, with it being altered to say "The Jim Henson Company", and the closing production logo sequence that's used for the Jim Henson Company for all future the Jim Henson Company projects should be the Jim Henson Company closing production logo sequence that was used for the TV series 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance'.

In addition to the TV series 'Sesame Street' still being shown on PBS TV channels, it should also be shown on ABC TV channels, Disney Channel, and the Disney Junior Channel. All of these TV channels should also show the TV series 'Play With Me, Sesame', 'The Electric Company', 'Dragon Tails', 'Dinosaur Train', 'Sid The Science Kid', and 'Pajanimals'. In addition to all of these TV channels showing new episodes of 'Sesame Street', they should also show previous episodes dating all the way back to the 1st season, and during the holiday season, they should show Christmas-themed 'Sesame Street' episodes and other 'Sesame Street' episodes that take place during Winter, as well as the TV specials 'Christmas Eve On Sesame Street', 'A Special Sesame Street Christmas', 'Elmo Saves Christmas', 'Elmo's World: Happy Holidays!', 'A Sesame Street Christmas Carol', 'Elmo's Christmas Countdown', and 'Sesame Street Stays Up Late'(AKA 'Sesame Street Celebrates Around The World'). Whenever a new episode of the TV series 'Sesame Street' premieres, it should air on PBS TV channels, Disney Channel, and the Disney Junior Channel, and be added to Disney Plus and the Sesame Workshop YouTube channel on the same day, so that it can reach as many children from as many financial backgrounds as possible.

There should be a new Blu-ray release of 'The Muppet Movie' that contains an extended cut of the film(which should be added to Disney Plus). All of the special features from all of the previous home video releases of the film should be included.

The 2nd season of 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance' should pull from the video game 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance: Tactics', and should use the music compositions that were created for said video game.

There should be animated Disney Plus original 'The Dark Crystal' projects that use the original stories from the 'The Dark Crystal' storybooks, novels, & graphic novels.

There should be a hand-drawn-animated Disney Plus original 'Fraggle Rock' TV series that is comprised of the original stories from the 'Fraggle Rock' storybooks & comic books. It should be established when during the course of the original 'Fraggle Rock' TV series this new TV series and 'Fraggle Rock: The Animated Series' take place.

There should be a 'Fraggle Rock' movie that picks up right from where the final episode of the TV series 'Fraggle Rock', 'Change of Address', left off.

There should be a hand-drawn-animated Disney Plus original 'The Muppets' TV series that has the art style of the 'The Muppet Show' comic books, and is comprised of the original stories from the 'The Muppets' storybooks, comic books(including the 'The Muppet Show' comic books), & comic strips. This TV series should take place during the gap between the events of the 'MuppeTelevison' segments of the TV series 'The Jim Henson Hour', and the events of the TV series 'Muppets Tonight'.

There should be a new Blu-ray & DVD release of the TV special 'Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas' that includes all of the previous extras from all of the previous home video releases of said TV special, and, in addition to containing the fanmade Philfrog Cut(which has all of the parts that are exclusive to certain previous official cuts of the TV special) and a cut that is basically the Philfrog Cut minus the Kermit The Frog bits, contains all of the previous official cuts of the TV special. The Philfrog Cut should be the cut that plays by default. Blu-ray & DVD releases like this should be made for the TV specials 'The Christmas Toy' and 'A Muppet Family Christmas'.

All seasons of the TV series 'Sesame Street', all 'Sesame Street' TV specials(including the 'Sesame Street' and 'The Electric Company' crossover TV special 'Out To Lunch'), and all 'Sesame Street' direct-to-video specials should be released across a series of Blu-ray sets made for the TV series.

All of said content should be presented uncut & unaltered and with the option of being able to view episodes of the TV series without the non-Muppet-related added-on segments. There should be the ability to watch the added-on segments seperately from the episodes.

Every single episode of the TV series ever made should be included, including the episode featuring Margaret Hamilton as the Wicked Witch of The West.

All previous special features from all previous home video releases of episodes of the TV series, the TV specials, and the direct-to-video specials should be included. Previous 'Sesame Street' documentary TV films & documentary TV specials should be included.

All of the episodes of the TV series that don't have official titles should be given official titles, since the production codes of the episodes have been used to identify them over the years.

2 versions of each of these Blu-ray sets should be available, with the 1st one containing all of the content in HD, thus requiring more discs and a higher price, and the 2nd one containing all of the content in SD, thus allowing less discs and a lower price.

For the 1st-33rd, 41st, and 42nd seasons of the TV series, there should be multiple volumes due to how many episodes of those seasons there are.

The 5 test pilots for the TV series should be included in the 'Sesame Street - Season 1 - Volume 1' Blu-ray set.
