🎓 Enough Is Enough. Suspend is Not Justice.

 

We, the citizens of Odisha and supporters of student rights across India, demand strict, permanent action against Principals, HODs, and faculty in educational institutions who commit, enable, or ignore sexual harassment and abuse of power against students.

 

The recent suicide attempt of a student at Fakir Mohan College, Balasore after repeated harassment and Principal inaction is not just a tragedy—it’s a government failure.

 

> Why must a daughter light herself on fire before the system responds?

🛑 Our 5 Urgent Demands:

1. 🔥 Permanent dismissal (not suspension) of staff proven guilty of harassment or negligence.

2. 👮 Immediate FIRs under IPC, POCSO, and PoSH for faculty involved in sexual exploitation.

3. 🔍 Full audit of ICCs (Internal Complaints Committees) in all colleges and universities.

4. 🕒 30-day complaint resolution deadline—beyond which Principals are held accountable.

5. 🛡️ State-level Student Safety Cell with anonymous complaint system & mental health support.
