Have you seen DirecTV's series of ads with a celebrity and their "pathetic" alternative. The ads show you how horrible the alternate's life is often with makeup to make them look like a schlemiel. The ads imply that choosing DirecTV over Cable may be the reason.

At first the ads used Rob Lowe in a variety of alternatives. Now they have branched out to sports stars with a focus on their sports offerings.

A new one starring Randy Moss, entitled "Petite Randy Moss", shows a cool wealthy Randy Moss having fun and watching sports on his giant television. And a digitally short version of him, called "Petite" Randy Moss, who is shown to have a sad lonely life living in a tiny apartment with a tiny tv.

This goes beyond using a nebbish character and in to the offensive to people of average or lower height. Particularly those with disabilities.

DirecTV and Randy Moss should apologize for the insulting add and remove it from the air.
