The Tompkins Avenue Grab and Go store has been making a noticeable effort to comply with the request to turn off their awning lights by 9:00 PM each night. While it hasn’t been turned off exactly at 9:00 PM on every occasion, the lights have consistently been shut off between 9:00 and 10:00 PM. It appears that the variation is due to different employees being on duty during various shifts, each remembering to turn the lights off at slightly different times.

I trust that management is also beginning to notice the positive impact on their electricity usage — and ultimately, on their light bill.
