Yes, we see it as a mandate in your approval handbook and appreciate it, Sir. We will copy you in our formal complaint on the particular instances shortly, Sir. Please do consider the rest. Thank you. Any institute where during inspection or on the basis of complaint, we learn that such a committee is not constituted and announced on the website of the college, we take severe penal action. We will take other suggestions into account and act. Thank you very, very much for the same. I see that the (1) has been addressed and the links are all now up. However, a more vital information we are hoping for would be that we have mentioned in (2), regarding the ICC or the Internal Complaints Committee which needs to be formed in every institution to prevent Sexual Harrassment of its staff and children/Students. We sincerely request AICTE to issue necessary notifications (mostly already existing ones) to all its institutions including diploma colleges and insist the creation of the same as per norms and publicize the same. We are shocked to hear some of the very open violations happening everyday in these colleges. We see the email ids/contact of ombudsmen or anti-ragging committees absent in many institutions listed as well. To give a written complaint and receive an acknowledgement is not an easy thing for a child/student in such institutions and hence many of such issues are going easily unreported. The procedures for such is not clearly mentioned even in the AICTE portal as compared to Anti-ragging. The issues faced by women are numerous and a very easy to access, transparent, trustworthy and accountable system available online can alone increase the chances of her reporting such issues and identifying abusive staff. This is vital to the welfare of women of the State. We request the authorities to help achieve this and make such information of ICC public. The complaints we have heard are from institutions which do not even have a website. They have not openly exhibited ICC details either in the college campus or websites or anywhere for that matter. The students are not aware of the basic safety measures available to them. I personally am struggling to get such information from such an erring Management. Kindly help the students by making more information available in ~ public domain online ~ and very prominently in college premises. We have been receiving complaints from polytechnic colleges in Bangalore and we have not been able to receive proper responses from the institutions on several issues. Especially, considering the marginalized students that are studying here, asserting their rights has become an impossibility. From talking to these students it is very clear that they have not received any orientation on any such committees. We have monitoring cells at the higher levels, which I am afraid have also failed in this case or have been given fake reports since such orientation is missing among its students and grant of a friendly and approachable mechanism to report such violations seems to be obviously absent. We consider this more important than the former. And considering that we work for the safety and well being of children, and in larger interest of all children, we seek the same. Please let us know what you can do about it, Sir. We are hoping to hear more from you. Best Regards, Indu Priya Co founder, Payanmaram Trust 9900213043
