Since December 26, 2018, 23 horses at the Santa Anita Race Track located in, Arcadia, Ca., have been killed on the track. There are enumerable other incidents, that have occurred over the years at Santa Anita but, have been kept out of the public eye. Now that a light has been shown on this murderous so called, ¨sport¨ it is time to tell Santa Anita and, other abusive corporations and entities, that, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! The killing, maiming and torture of innocent living, feeling beautiful animals, will no longer be tolerated or, accepted in today´s culture. This vile sport where $2 bets, are the norm, must be abolished and placed in our minds as history and, events that should have never taken place. Horse racing is an archaic and barbaric event that is as cruel evil and horrendous as dog fighting, bull fights, and dog racing. There is no time like the present, to take a stand for these horses and put an end to this blood event, that was once perceived as, aristocratic elitism but, has now been exposed as a tortuous and disgusting event where horses are killed at an unprecedented rate. This form of animal cruelty must stop immediately!
