To my extended family💙

I wouldn’t be writing this now without the words I’ve listened to from so many of you, the memories you’ve shared of Devon, and the stories of the impact he made at such a young age on your lives. Your love and support have been a lifeline during this unimaginable time.  

It’s been 40 days since Devon went to Heaven. These 40 days have been some of the darkest of my life, with little light to guide the way. I’m not going to lie—the first week, I wanted to be exactly where he is. The pain was unbearable, and the world felt empty without him.  It still does. 

But then, I started to get signs. I won’t elaborate on them here because I feel they are sacred, something between Devon and me. What I will say is that they’ve given me a sense of purpose—to ensure Devon’s legacy and the light he brought to this world continue to shine as long as I live. His spirit, his kindness, and the love he shared with everyone will not be forgotten.  

In regards to the seat belt law, I want to share that there are changes coming in 2026 that are very similar to what I had suggested. While this is a step in the right direction, I’ve chosen to focus my energy on honoring Devon’s legacy. His life was so much more than this tragedy, and I want to celebrate the joy, love, and light he brought into the world.  

There’s more to come. This is just the beginning of how I hope to honor him and keep his beautiful soul alive in all that I do.  

Thank you for standing by me, for sharing your stories, and for reminding me that Devon’s life mattered deeply. Your love has been a beacon in the darkness, and I’m forever grateful.
