As an ardent fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, I am deeply disappointed by the lack of representation for this iconic character in popular fighting games like Super Smash Bros. Currently, only one Sonic character is included in Super Smash Bros., which is a disservice to the rich and diverse universe of Sonic characters that fans have come to love over years.

Sonic has been a staple in video gaming since its inception in 1991, with over 70 million copies sold worldwide (source: Sega Annual Report). The franchise boasts a wide array of characters each with their unique abilities and personalities that could provide an exciting and varied gameplay experience if incorporated into a fighting game.

I propose that Sega, or another capable game developer, create a dedicated Sonic fighting game similar to Super Smash Bros., complete with its own storyline. This would not only cater to the large fanbase who are eager for more diverse representations but also potentially attract new players intrigued by such an innovative concept.
