Prince loved children, and he wanted them to have the opportunity to be exposed to not only his music, but to the opportunity to learn music. He personally donated money to the local elementary schools in Chanhassen so that they could purchase instruments for their students. Paisley Park should be maintained as a National Historic Landmark so that future generations can learn about his creative genius where it all happened. We may be facing some opposition without sufficient explanation, but I personally will not give up until this is accomplished. The urgency is compounded by the fact that President Obama will soon be out of office so your support is needed. Please tweet to President Obama ( @POTUS ), his support at this point is crucial. Tweet to others, share and get others to sign. So far, the family is not aware of this but if you know someone who might know them, please make them aware of this petition and our desire to make this happen. There is no cost to the estate at all and ownership as well as control remains in the hands of the estate and its heirs. So what's the problem? There is no reason for Paisley Park to not have access to the free grants which National Landmark status provides, along with the free building inspections to maintain the integrity of the building. We know Prince and we KNOW he would want this to happen. Thank you for your support. Sending you loads of purple love.
