On Friday 21st November we went to a consultation day on Birmingham's proposed 'Cultural Quarter'. The 'asset list' didn't include the 115 yr old historic Electric Cinema.
Glenbrook's rep (who wants to demolish The Electric) turned up for less than half the 2 1/2 hrs. Didn't bother saying hi. Classic. We know what they think of culture.
Are you annoyed Birmingham Council didn't include the The Electric (threatened with demolition by Glenbrook Property) in their proposed 'Cultural Quarter'?
You have until 4th Dec to tell them. Help us make a noise!

or comment on the consultation doc (Section 11. Point 7): Birmingham Local Plan 2042 Culture Quarter
The Culture Zone also missed The Futurist, Cherry Reds, The Victoria...rolls eyes - but did make some good noises about the importance of Station St. and The Crown. But that's pointless without The Electric at its heart.
