The STRB report (2016) found that schools are facing problems both in recruiting new teachers and keeping them – and these problems have “become more acute” this year. The review group recommended just a 1% increase in teacher pay from September, but said higher increases are needed in the future (The Guardian.) Now, its 2018 and many teachers are yet to move up the incremental scale over the time they have been at Derby College.
