The Hairy Dog live music venue in Derby has been putting work into expanding for the past couple of year. We are now at the stage where the new larger capacity music venue is built and ready for opening. The only thing now stopping the venue opening the doors is the permanent license from the council. This has been applied for and has been held up by an objection by the police.

The objection is that they do not feel having a live music venue in the city is of any benefit and will just bring unwanted congestion to the city.

There is a hearing on 15th of December to contest this objection. Please help us tell them how important having a grass roots live music venue in the city actually is and lets keep bringing live music to the city.
