The Issue

While the people of Iran are being violently suppressed, imprisoned, tortured, and killed for demanding basic human rights, many relatives of senior officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran live freely and comfortably in democratic countries—especially the United States.

The Islamic Republic has been responsible for decades of systematic human rights violations, mass executions, violent crackdowns on peaceful protesters, and state-sponsored terror. According to human rights organizations, tens of thousands of Iranians have been killed, detained, or disappeared for opposing the regime or demanding freedom, dignity, and justice.

At the same time, officials of this regime publicly chant “Death to America,” threaten Western democracies, and support extremist groups—yet their families benefit from the safety, stability, and economic opportunities of the very countries they openly oppose.

One such case is Tahereh Soleimani, daughter of Mohammad Soleimani, a former minister and senior figure within the Islamic Republic of Iran. Despite her close family ties to the regime, she is reportedly residing in the United States, potentially benefiting from wealth and privileges linked to a system built on corruption, repression, and violence against the Iranian people.

We, the undersigned, call on U.S. authorities to:

Investigate the immigration status, financial assets, and sources of wealth of relatives of Iranian regime officials living in the United States
Assess whether any funds used to support their lifestyle originate from corruption, sanctions evasion, or the exploitation of the Iranian people
Enforce existing laws, including sanctions and immigration regulations, without double standards
Deny safe haven to individuals who benefit from or are closely connected to a regime responsible for crimes against humanity

This is not a call for collective punishment—but for accountability, transparency, and justice. Democracies must not become shelters for the families of authoritarian officials while innocent people are killed for demanding freedom.

If the Islamic Republic treats Iranians as disposable, its elites and their families should not be allowed to enjoy peace, wealth, and protection abroad without scrutiny.

Human rights must not stop at borders.

Justice must not be selective.
