First off I want to express a special thank you to Elaine Alaniz currently running for City Council in her own District 1 for 2022. Despite Granada Hills and Knollwood Estates not being part of Elaine's District she decided to step forward regardless to help me navigate the web of La City Divisions to obtain the name and contact of the correct person to present the petition to that you have all signed. A special thank you as well to Jose Galdamez, LA City Neighborhood Empowerment Advocate who assisted Elaine in locating the correct office.
That said I will be preparing a packaged presentation including the Signed Petition and delivering it to Gerry Valido who is in charge of Community Improvement Projects for the City of Los Angeles. I will be sure to send an update once this has been accomplished.
If you wish to learn more about Elaine Alaniz, support, donate or volunteer for her campaign she can certainly use the help. Not only did Elaine believe in our neighborhood and its community but also in the idea that city backed neighborhood improvements would benefit all Los Angeles residents as a whole.
