A fair go for those who have a go?

The Custodio family came to Australia via a skilled work visa for the husband, Geoffrey. He has a veterinary medicine degree and works as a genetics and animal health specialist in a large, local piggery. When an opportunity came up to rent the small kitchen in the local caravan park Geraldine took it and operates around her husband’s night shift hours and her children’s school commitments. They meet all of Gain’s expenses out of their own income whilst still contributing to the community. Much of Gain’s long term medical expenses are calculated on him utilising day respite services as he gets older. This is not the Phillipines way. He will be cared for and included in the daily activities of the family once he leaves school. He has three brothers and two loving parents who will provide for his needs. The small business operated by Geraldine now brings caravanners and day trippers to our small country town and they visit other local businesses. We only have a population of 500 people and outside income is vital. Every person counts in Bell. The Custodio family are givers, not takers and that is why we want them to stay.
