The DeCoppet estate has been around since 1911, owned by Theakston DeCoppet who later died in 1937, the home still holds many furnishings that will take you back in time as if you were still in that time period. In DeCoppets will he vowed his land to be turned into a nature preserve for the towns around to explore and admire. DEM however apparently has different plans as they do with everything and do not voice it until it is almost too late. They have plans to tear down the historically registered home and it is time for a change in the system.
