Sierra Madre is the longest mountain range in the Philippines which protects us from calamities. it serves as the typhoon barrier, attenuating incoming typhoons from the Pacific Ocean before reaching the central island but the mountain is being threaten by human activities.   

This is the home of hundreds of wild life species, many of which are unique by Philippines including Philippine eagle and golden crowned flying fox and even indigenous peoples like Agta. 

The Sierra Madre mountain ranges continue to experience Forrest degradation despite the national campaign to preserve the environment. logging remains the primary reason for this sad state. 

Its the time for us to save the sierra madre before its too late. Let us preserve for the next generation.
