Why did you score poor marks in academics despite having clear understanding of the topics?

Did it ever happen to you that you scored poor marks in your favorite subject despite having crystal clear understanding of it just because you couldn't express it properly in the answer sheet because you are not so good at expressing your thoughts?

It's the most common situation of every introverted student who have limited capacity of memorizing words expressed by someone else and solely depend on their own understanding the real concept behind a topic.

Is it bad to have limited capacity of memorizing things or being bad at expressing your thoughts?

As per me, not at all. This is 21st century. You have google, blogs, e-books and cloud storage as great alternatives. And it's totally fine if you prefer to express your thoughts rather through your work and not just words. All you need is clear understanding of the topics you learned.

But the government of education doesn't think so. As per them you either have to be an expert communicator or someone with good capability of memorizing words expressed by someone else. When recruiters (both government and private) set criteria on marks scored in academics, they are doing injustice to deserving students that fall under this category.
