As one of the victims in this deeply disturbing case, I’m raising my voice against the impending parole of Tyler Drew Griffith. Tyler, our older cousin, was convicted on multiple charges, including sexual indecency with a minor (age 11) and rape/sexual assault against a second child (age 16). Along with witness bribery (age 11). A justice system that allows a criminal of such severity to walk free devalues the pain of the victims involved and does not serve the safety of its community well. We were told he wouldn’t be parole eligible for at least five years after incarceration, it has barely been two years since his final conviction.

In the United States, for every 230 sexual abuse cases, only 5 perpetrators will be incarcerated. This insufficient punishment is a frightening statistic that allows such offenders to continually pose a threat to children's safety.

We understand that every individual deserves the chance for rehabilitation and reintegration. However, considering the severity of Tyler's actions and the lifelong trauma it has exacted on us, it is paramount that his eligibility for parole be scrutinized cautiously.

We urge the parole board to heavily weigh the impact of their decision and to deny Tyler Drew Griffith parole. Please join us in making sure that victims' voices aren't drowned out in the legal process. Stand against child sexual abuse, sign the petition.
