A second year (2020) of slaughtering Canada Geese has just concluded

USDA Wildlife Services came to town again, thanks to Scott Gilmore, deputy director of Denver Parks & Rec and Mayor Michael Hancock, this time inhumanely stealing the lives of 500 Canada Geese throughout the Denver park system. Last year, they took more than 1,600 geese, shoved them into small crates, and drove them in an open bed trailer to R&C Processing in Fort Collins, Colorado, where they waited in the blistering summer heat until they were slaughtered. Many perished in the heat while waiting their turn. Wildlife Services admitted they were killed by "human hands." That boils down to dislocating their necks resulting in lengthy and painful deaths, or taking a knife or hatchet and chopping off their heads. This year we're not sure where they met their demise. We need your help to finally put an end to this brutality. As taxpayers, we paid for this horrific nightmare and we should not take it sitting down!!! While we know not to expect a turnaround via a petition only, it does add fuel to the fire. So I ask you to please join fellow advocates and sign and share this petition. Thank you!
