Thank you everyone for your support for this cause. I'd like to ask everyone to remain civil in the comments and to please avoid placing judgement on the entire community of Salem and Dent County because of the actions of a few elected officials. This petition was started by someone who has lived in Salem almost their entire life, and many of the signers of this petition live and/or care about the community greatly and strongly dissent from the actions of the Commission. It is grossly unfair to judge the entire community or vow to never return and spend money there, and frankly these actions begin to resemble those that were the cause for this petition's creation. If anything, we need reasonable people like those of you signing this petition to come to create a positive atmosphere here and help drive the change. Thank you for your support.
