I, [Your Name], write to you today to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the upcoming address by the Cuban dictator Miguel Diaz Canel at the U.N. General Assembly. As an engageed global citizen that cares about human rights and the right of self determination of all people.  I feel compelled to raise my voice against this injustice of having a Dictator who opresses the Cuban people speak on their behalf at the United Nations.

For over six decades, Cuba has been ruled by a dictatorship that denies its citizens basic human rights and suppresses any form of dissent. The lack of political freedoms, limited access to information, and severe economic hardships have resulted in widespread suffering among the Cuban people.

It is disheartening to see that despite numerous reports from reputable international organizations documenting human rights abuses in Cuba, including arbitrary detentions, restrictions on freedom of expression and assembly, as well as non-existent democratic processes; this oppressive regime continues to be given a platform at international forums such as the U.N. General Assembly.

Therefore, I urge Your Excellency and all members of the United Nations community, especially democratic nations to denounce this address by the Cuban dictator at the upcoming U.N. General Assembly session. By allowing him a platform without holding him accountable for his government's actions against its own people would be an affront not only to those suffering under his rule but also undermines principles enshrined in your esteemed organization's charter.

The United Nations was founded on principles such as respect for human rights, equality before law, justice for all individuals regardless of their nationality or political affiliation – principles that are systematically violated by this dictatorial regime in Cuba.

We, the undersigned, call upon Your Excellency and the United Nations to:

1. Publicly denounce the Cuban dictator's address at the U.N. General Assembly as an endorsement of a regime that violates basic human rights.
2. Demand accountability from the Cuban government for its ongoing human rights abuses and suppression of dissent.
3. Support initiatives that promote democracy, freedom of expression, and respect for human rights in Cuba.

By taking a strong stance against this oppressive regime, we can send a powerful message to those suffering under its rule that they are not forgotten and that their struggle for freedom is supported by the international community.

I kindly request Your Excellency's attention to this urgent matter and hope for your swift action in denouncing the Cuban dictator's address at the U.N. General Assembly.
